General Description |
Brown-grey clayey soil with medium amount of small pebbles and some pottery
The supra-floor was identified by investigation of the N-section of the 10x2m area. All soil was sampled for floatation. Due to the small extent of the area, we did not establish squares for the sample. This supra-floor is artificially divided from Locus:179604:023. |
Boundaries (Contrast, Topography) |
The locus is limited to the S by the 10x2m areas N-border and to W by the excavation edge of N-extension 1, the NE limit is defined by the wall Locus:179604:003 and the filling on top of it (Locus:179604:019). In the E the supra-floor deposit is presumably lost to ploughing (as i was possibly sloping upwards in front of wall Locus:176904:003 western facade). The virgin soil becomes visible there already. |
